Steven Strasser is a journalist and instructor who wanted a blog to highlight both his writing and teaching endeavors, as well as document his professional career. I installed the WordPress blog and designed a custom CSS. The first page is static but I wanted the newest entries to update dynamically with content from the blog. Initially I used an RSS parsing module to grab the RSS feed and display brief content on the homepage. After upgrading to WordPress 3.0, I’m able to used a dynamic excerpt and a static home page.
